Lois studied at the University of Manitoba where she completed her Bachelor of Interior Design. She was the recipient of the province of Manitoba Design Associations Award of Merit in her graduating year.
With over 20 years of experience, working throughout Canada and internationally,, Lois joined Kasian in 2001. Based in Kasian’s Calgary office, she has significantly contributed to the evolution of the company’s Interior Design studio making it one of the most sought after firms for large scale interior projects in Canada. Highly respected in the design community, Lois provides vision and leadership to her team and believes in drawing out inspiration through an inclusive and transparent approach.
Lois is Principal-in-Charge of many significant projects including the Calgary Courts Centre, Shell Canada Limited offices, the CHR East Calgary Health Centre, and Grant Thorton LLP offices. Previously, she has led many projects for clients including PrimeWest Energy Trust, the Calgary Health Region, ATCO, Hopewell Developments, and the Royal Bank of Canada.
In her professional volunteer work, Lois has served two terms on the advisory board to the Department of Interior Design at Mount Royal College in Calgary.. She also serves as a mentor to designers in all of Kasian’s offices. As an avid runner she has completed many 10k individual and team races in Alberta, Manitoba, and Ontario and is a key member of Kasian’s Calgary Corporate Challenge team.
