Doug Harrison, P. Eng. has over 35 years of experience in the design and construction industry. He currently is a Vice President with Stuart Olson Construction in Calgary responsible for learning and development, continuous improvement and risk management. He leads Stuart Olson’s initiative to better align and gain stakeholder commitment to the project priorities and the construction schedule. Early in his career Doug was responsible for the structural design of commercial, institutional, residential and light industrial buildings as well as heavy civil structures such as bridges and water supply and treatment facilities. He went on to manage large civil engineering projects with multi-discipline project teams. Later, as senior partner in large consulting engineering firm, Doug was involved in the development and continuous improvement of both project delivery and business processes. These initiatives included detailed project planning, quality assurance and control, and confirmation of stakeholder satisfaction. Today, Doug leads Stuart Olson’s initiatives centered on “team building”, “innovation”, and value-added services.
