Bill Brooks is a bit of a chameleon. An accountant by education, Brooks gave up the books fifteen years ago to pursue a career in media. Since then, Brooks has enjoyed myriad media positions including: Society Editor for the Calgary Sun; co-host of Open Homes-a nationally televised home makeover show; weekly guest spots on Lite 96 CHFM; and author of Party Crasher-a tongue in cheek society column in Avenue Magazine. While not out covering Calgary's social scene, Brooks occupies what little spare time he has chairing the Annual Bill Brooks Prostate Cancer Benefit. In its nine year history, the event has raised more than $2.1 million for prostate cancer research, education and treatment.
